Music Together®'s Babies program is specially designed for infants eight months and younger, and for parents who want to learn as much as possible about music development in babies. Every child's development benefits from early exposure to music and movement – and those early months are very important! Though it might not seem like a newborn would benefit from a music class, just as they have to babble to develop language, babies have to “babble” in music to learn to sing. Little ones are born with a natural capacity to make music, whether they’re cooing, squealing, crying, or, eventually, giggling and babbling.
Babies are always welcome to attend a Mixed Ages Class, whether registered on their own or attending with an older sibling. But the Babies classes are a special introduction to Marsha's Music and Music Together, after which babies will attend a mixed-age class. The babies class is an excellent opportunity to meet other parents of newborns and learn some fascinating music activities you can recreate at home with your baby!
Whether you're a first-time parent or you're on your third, join a Babies class and give your child the gift of music and yourself the gift of a a new community and activities to do with your baby!
