Tuition & Policy

As a family in one of our Music Together® classes, you and your child will play musically under the guidance of one of our trained teachers. Each weekly Music Together class offers a dozen songs and rhythmic rhymes, including fingerplays, small- and large-movement activities, and instrument play. Teachers present these fun musical experiences in ways that are informal, non-performance oriented, and developmentally appropriate for children. Come join us, and be part of a community of families sharing songs, movement, and instrument play.

Your tuition includes a newly designed songbook with a CD and music downloads, and parent resources. Rhythm Kids' tuition includes a djembe drum for inital enrollment.

Each semester includes:

  • A new song collection every fall, winter, and spring for three years, presenting a rich tonal and rhythmic mix,  as well as a range of musical styles from lyrical to blues, from folk to boogie.
  • New professional recording with songs, rhythmic rhymes, instrumental play-alongs, and tonal and rhythm patterns.
  • A newly designed, beautifully illustrated songbook to help you make Music Together® at home.
  • Periodic family newsletters and parent education resources on the national Music Together website.

Siblings 0-8 months (age at the time class begins) and third child are free with paid siblings.

Notes: Regular registration starts approximately two weeks before classes start. Sibling rates above apply to siblings being in the same class and/or type of class. For families with one child in mixed age class and one child in rhythm kids class, the sibling fee is higher because there are two different sets of materials.

  • 10 weeks:  Early Registration Sib: $180, Regular Registration Sib: $190.
  • 8 weeks:  Early Registration Sib:  $150, Regular Registration Sib:  $160.

If you miss your regularly scheduled Music Together® class for any reason, you may schedule a makeup class. Makeup classes can be scheduled at any location, with any teacher, in any age appropriate class, on a space-available basis. They must be taken during the current semester and cannot be "carried over" to the next semester. You may schedule your make-up class as soon as you know you are going to miss a class. We often see an end-of-semester rush, so try to schedule your makeups as early as possible to avoid disappointment. No credits or refunds will be issued for missed classes.

To schedule a makeup class, use our online Makeup Scheduler. You may search for a class by time, day, or location, and the scheduler will display the available options. If a given class is not displayed as an option for a makeup, it means all the makeup spots for that class have been assigned; please schedule for a different class or check back later to see if a spot becomes available. If you know you will not be attending a previously scheduled makeup class, please cancel it so the spot becomes available for another family.

Full payment is due with registration. If you have to withdraw, tuition may be refunded before the first class. In the case of unusual illness or circumstances that prevent a family from participating, credit may be issued towards another Music Together semester or tuition may be refunded in part at the discretion of the director. After your first class, pro-rated credits may be issued upon review of individual circumstances.  We understand that sometimes unexpected things happen. However, please note that non-attendance does not constitute a withdrawal from class. We are able to offer tuition refunds unless we are informed of your intent to withdraw prior to the registration deadline.

The health of all classroom participants is important to us, so we take measures to ensure the cleanliness of our classroom and limit exposure to germs. We take time to sanitize our classroom space, instruments, and materials after each class with a child-safe cleaning solution. If your child and/or you are sick, please stay home from class and schedule a makeup and help keep everyone healthy.

No refunds will be given as all proceeds benefit the Marsha's Music scholarship fund.

Your eGIFT CARD is eternal! No expiration date, but we encourage you to use it within a year of purchase. No refunds.

Parents, grandparents, and caregivers are welcome to attend class at any time, no need to ask. Whole family music-making at home is extremely valuable to your child's music development, and attending class occasionally helps family members feel more comfortable joining in. If you would like to bring another guest (including an older sibling who may be home from school), please call the office. Visitation spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be guaranteed.

Holiday closures will be announced at the beginning of each semester. Classes may be cancelled due to inclement weather, teacher illness, and for other extraordinary circumstances. You will receive email notification of class cancellations. Class cancellation notifications may also be left on our office voicemail, and posted on our website and social media. Cancelled classes will be made up at the end of the session.
